To begin with, If you agree your bed is the recharge unit for your body and the
better the daily recharge the better off you will ultimately be. Reading the following
physical facts and theories without marketing BS should be helpful.
We believe there is an answer to many of the problems people have in attaining
optimum recharge during your allotted rest time. Proper flotation is an extremely
logical answer. We use the term 'proper flotation' because all waterbeds are not
created equally and they do not perform equally so don't be fooled to think you
know what this is because you used to have a waterbed. If you had a bed like the
Perfection you wouldn't be satisfied with what you are sleeping on now. Oh, I forgot,
you aren't happy are you?
Most people will agree that reducing the pressure points on your body while at
rest will assist in a more restorative sleep. We believe it to be the most important single
controllable element for maximum recharge efficiency while sleeping. When pressure
points are reduced the subconscious body function of repositioning during sleep is rendered
almost unnecessary. Body repositioning during sleep is the element most responsible for
reducing REM sleep also known as 'rapid eye movement', the deep recharging time of rest.
All mattress manufacturers claim to do this with fancy words and artist renderings.
Anyone can hire someone to draw a picture depicting this result but 'proper flotation'
achieves this status to near perfection due to the nearly identical density of the
human body and water. A small amount of additional lift in the lumbar region inside
a 'proper flotation' system helps achieve optimum sleeping posture without
the pressure points which exist in conventional mattresses.
To help you understand good sleeping posture: Try this test.
1- Stand next to a wall with your heels against the wall.
2- Now lean backward with your butt and back of head against the wall.
This position will not be comfortable for an extended period of time. This is the starting
backside prone position for all other beds including sleep number and
Tempur-pedic Swedish foam beds. Proper standing posture is with a slightly
forward lean to the upper body from the waist up. This slightly forward bend is
the starting position 'proper flotation' provides . Makes sense doesn't it?
Reduced surface skin pressure and having good posture in the prone position
is enough to make proper flotation the most healthy form of body recharge.
When we add the control of the temperature of your sleep surface it makes
this system unbelievable until experienced. In the dual system which we recommend, each
side is independently filled and digitally temperature controlled for individual preference.
This bed will never get a "body impression" like pillowtop mattresses because the pillowtop
