Why Buy A Waterbed And Not A High Priced Innerspring... ?

A properly used waterbed will provide the ultimate in perfection of conforming support no matter the shape or weight of your body. A high priced innerspring will eventually sag and be uncomfortable and need to be flipped no matter what a bedding salesperson says.  The water support conforms to your body shape and when you get up the water support goes back to its original position and never knows you've been there.

I'd Like To Buy A Waterbed But I Live In An Apartment And I Don't Think Its Allowed... ?

Most apartments are willing as long as they are used with a proper containing frame or foam rail with a containing safety liner.  Some properties will want you to have renters insurance covering them but the fact of the matter is properly used waterbeds never cause problems.  Indoor plumbing is 1000 times more insidious and any insurance company could confirm this.

Highly unlikely, proper flotation is not wavy, however the basic waterbed system might be.  We recommend these beds for children but not for adults especially couples.

Can I Put An Innerspring Inside My Old Waterbed Frame... ? 

Yes, the size is California king and queen.  72x84 and 60x 84 respectively.  The mattress we recommend is a drop-in and is 2 inches shorter and narrower thus allowing room for sheets and or comforters to be easily used.  If the regular California king and queen mattresses are used expect the fit to be way too tight and unforgiving to easily make the bed up.  Once again do not believe an innerspring mattress salesperson if they disagree with this point.

I Want A Softside But Am Not Sure About The Inside Bladder Or Tubes.  What Do You Recommend... ?

We recommend the dual mattress concept above all else.  This allows each individual their own comfort system.  The single stabilized mattress would be second and is a little cheaper but the bed will feel slightly different when two people are in bed versus only one.  The tube type bed is in our opinion a poor choice.  A couple of reason for this are the tedious nature of properly filling the tubes equally and burping the air.  Then if the fill level is incorrect each tube needs to be redone over and over till a person is satisfied.  What normally happens is a person just accepts a lesser comfortable fill level which is probably superior to innersprings but not what it could be.

Does My Waterbed Need A Heater... ?

Absolutely.  The woodside waterbed needs it because you are so close to the water the temperature setting needs to be close to surface body temperature to prevent a subtle hypothermic condition which causes you to not sleep as well and possibly awake with sore body and back ache.  The softside needs the heater [temperature control unit] to eliminate the primary cause for condensation to form thereby making a potential habitat for mildew to form.  Yes, even if you live in a warm climate this temperature control should be used if your home  or room is air conditioned.  You will simply use less energy, the long term benefits are to save your bed from self destruction.

Why Should I Buy A Mattress Pad With A Softside... ?

Very important if you want to protect your investment.  The softside cover is the most expensive single part of a softside and a proper mattress pad will control almost all  damage types such as body oil discoloration, fluid spills like wine or body fluids like urine whether it be human or pet.  Ask abut the 'protect a bed' mattress pad.

Can I Use Bleach As A Watermattress Conditioner?

It is not recommended because the lack balance of chlorides can accelerate the loss of plasticizers in your mattress and reduce the longevity of the bladder by making it prematurely more brittle.

Can I Put My New Softside On My Existing Innerspring Frame... ?

It is not recommended, especially if your existing frame has wheels. Do your bed properly with a frame designed for a softside and you won't have to worry about the weight causing you trouble in the future.
